Vision

The Swiss domiciled foundation “Liberia Renaissance Foundation” offers education to children who would not otherwise have the opportunity to go to school. At the time we have app. 200 students in the primary level. The foundation is committed to assume the school fees of those children with limited financial means. The students and staff receive one warm meal per day.

Our school wants to progressively develop and expand the capacities and services of the school. Throughout this process, the Government of Liberia and its relevant Ministries are closely involved in the conception and implementation of the project. There is always an international expert on site to manage and monitor the day to day running and development of the school.

Who came up with this idea?

The idea of the establishment of a school in Liberia was conceived by Dr. Dennis Harper. To realize his ambition of the Liberian Renaissance Education Complex, Dr. Florian Homm offered his support and commitment through the establishment of the Swiss Liberian Renaissance Foundation. Throughout the past, the Liberian Renaissance Foundation (LRF) has gathered sufficient expert advice and experience in the country to be able to take the first practical steps towards the establishment of Our School.
